I am trying to plan a disaster recovery of my server.
Normally for backup I use a robot library with 2 drivers. For disaster recovery I have another external driver, that I have joined with a server standalone (with the same name of master server). In my master server of production I have made duplicate of all my server (policy type: windows-nt, exchange, sql server).
In server of disaster recovery,I have promoted my duplicate images to primary and I have no problem with policy windows-nt and exchange. But with sql policy the restor begin and then the driver arrested in phASE 'BEGIN READING'.

In the event viewer I have read eventID: 17055: The description for eventid (17055) in source (MSSQLSERVER) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message dll files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able use the /AUXSOURCE=flag to retrieve this description....

Someone know this problem? I am not expert to sql server 2000....

Thak's a lot

Hi,
This error message occurs because the backup folder does not exist.

To resolve this issue, simply create a backup folder under the following directory:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$BKUPEXEC\.

Refer to
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/265137.htm

Hope this helps!!!

Cheers ;)
