exchange backup doubts

I have read the NBU exchange guide.

NBU for Exchange Server Admin Guide  http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC3669

I have some doubts after reading this guide

1. what is the hierarchy of exchange database?
2. what exchange versions are available till starting to end?
3. i wanna know the concept of backup selection for exchange policies?

Wrong forum. Ask on a Microsoft Exchange forum or ask your Exchange Administrator.

No idea what you mean with this question.

Supported Exchange versions are listed in NetBackup 7 Application/Database Agent (CL) .

=> pls elaborate more, Exchange is mix of Databases, (Mailbox Databases, Public Folders, Addess Book etc. For further information on Exchange, go through msexchange.org forum)

This is perfectly described in Admin guide you are referring to. Presntly NBU support backup for Exchange 2003/2007/2010 And selectino differs from version to version

For 2010 where DAG is implemented, We need to specify DAG etc.

Generally Information Store is the backup selection specified for backup, but ifmany databases exist we, can specify their names as well.

With Hierarchy ,I mean the order in which the flow occurs.

I mean at top we have Microsoft information store and what under that?

You have Exchange doubts, not NetBackup.

You need to ask your Exchange Hierarchy questions on an Exchange forum.

Else, ask your Exchange Admin to log into the Exchange Admin console and show you the layout/hierarchy.
