exclude list not working

I have a windows 2003 sql server.

I do not want it to backup the mdf files

but it still does.

(I have tired to run the bpgetconfig -e <filename> <clientservername>  but it keeps coming back blank.)

What I have in the exclude list for the client.

*.mdf

I:\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.3\MSSQL\Data\*

but it still continues to get the .mdf files

It just will not listen to me.

Any suggestions as to what I have wrong or why it is not using the exclude list?

master and client are 7.0.1

Netbackup client 7.0.1 ignores the exclude list

Fixed in 7.1.0.2 as another option...

Says that is for a 2008 server  do you know if it has been proven as an issue to 2003 as well.

I added bpbkar and will see if tonight's backup logs the error in the doc.

Hi You need to make sure you only have one exclude list If you have more than one, such as one specific to a policy name then you will need the exclusions in the correct one. NetBackup will only process one exclude list when a job runs so may ignore what is in the all policies all schedules one Hope this helps

It also is an issue with 2003.
