from where do i get VTL virtual tape library setup

Hi from where do i get virtual tape library i.e VTL setup for the netbackup

i need to test VTL with my existing setup.

You would have to pay for a 'real' VTL, so MHVTL is a very good option for training and just playing about.

It is written by Mark Havey, who is one of the Symantec Backline Emgineers in Australia.

It runs only on Linux, best bet is probably to install NBU on the same serevr, I have used iscsi to present it to a Master and a separate media so have a SSO setup.

It's easy to use, there is enough into in the links above to get going, just takes a bit of playing around - it's kinda neat, you can even eject tapes from the MAP and it has cleaning tapes as well ...

or try to reach VTL vendors for trail software..

VTL manufacturers has often configuration of various backup product cover in their  documentation.

What brand of VTL does you have in mind ?

my intentions is to setup platform for theuser tranining & learning not aware of any VTL vendor
