Hi I just migrate from solaris to Linux. Catalog recovery done successfully. Even backup run good.
But when i click on policies and robot tab get message "could not get Class_att_defs information, YOu do not have permission to perform this operation access denied".
I can see everything via command line. I do not know why i am unable to see policie and tapes via gui. Please help.
NBU version is 7.0
Linux OS version 6.2

still same issue. clas permission is 755

could you please let us know what all steps that you followed to migrate from Solaris to Linux?
and also check if you are able to run the below command as a root

i can run bppllist -allpolicies -L to see policies and vmpool -list _all to see volume pools.
I have no issue from command line.
for migration.
i just installl NBU on new server. and then run disaster recovery, after disaster recovery i can able to see policies but i start facing issue after reboot.
One more thing backup are running fine.

Got that msg before and restart of nbsl took care of it. Per the technote Nagalla posted above:
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/nbsl -terminate
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/nbsl

i have master server only no media server, auth.conf , bp.conf all are good
command line is working

Do you have any windows media server?
if yes, please open the admin console from the windows media server and see how it works..
as you are able to see fine from the command line.. there may be an issue with the Java console..
what are the entiers in the auth.conf in the master server.
how the user id that you are using do listed in auth.conf?

Which GUI are you using?
If Java - are you running 'jnbSA' directly on the master or using Java Console installed on your desktop?
If Java - which user are you logging in as?
If Java - please create all of these log folders:

Ha! I got the "Class_att_defs" message on another environment this morning. I closed and restarted the GUI and all was well.

my issue resolved automatically. But when i eject tapes. Netbackup showing operation successful but in MAP no tape. do i have to make any change.
