how to freeze a scratch tape in window command

I need to freeze a scratch tape in netbackup .. when i do bpmedia -freeze , i have this message : media id is not assigned to this host .

Just move the tape to the none pool via the GUI. Tapes in the NONE pool are not allocated for backups.

Nicolai is correct.  Unles the media is in the media database it cannot be frozen.  The best option is moving the tape as suggested.

Media should not be frozen manually (unless it is faulty).

NBU freezes faulty media (or media which it believs is faulty) if you manually freeze media for other reasons, it gets confusing as to which is faulty media and which is not.
