how to restore expired backups from tapes procedure

Hi Guys,

We are planning to recover expired tapes backup.

We want to know what needs to be done before the import phase 1 and phase 2 state,Cause this is the first time we recover expired backups from tape.

Like below:

1. Load the tapes in tape Library

2. Go to your netbackup admin console on the server and inventory to find the tapes you loaded in. (what next?)

3. If your tapes are barcoded properly you will see them show up but what if the "Media Id" was different than my "Barcode" ?

This only based on my understanding before the import state.Thank you

Pleas see this tech note:

Step-by-step procedure on how to import NetBackup backup images via the NetBackup Administration Console GUI

https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/article.100017201.html

Please note: if a tapes is expired, there is no traces in Netbackupof what  was on the tape. All that information is cleared at time of backup expiration. When returning the tapes to robot, ensure tape are not put in the scrtach pool. Else Netbackup will overwrite the tapes.
