How can we comneect quantum i scalar -500 library directly to media server????

in high level View:-
1) phyiscally connect the tape Drives/library to SAN switch
2) Make sure media server is connected to SAN switch
3) zone the tape drives to the Media servers
4)make sure tape Drives are Visible at OS level
5) run Device configuratin wizard in netbackup to configure them.
1,2,3 are belongs to SAN team and data center team task
4 is belongs to OS team task
5 is backup team task
in addition make sure, all your hardware software are compatable to each other... refer the below guide for more details

Always important to mention your OS as the first step is to ensure that devices can be seen and used at OS level.
You have selected Windows 7 as OS. Your media server cannot be Windows 7.
NBU version is important because that way we can refer you to the documentation for your version of the software.
For physical and OS connectivity, you should start with documentation on Quantum web site:
