installing NetBackup_vCenter_Plug-in 7.6.0.3

smond
Level 2

Generally when installing any NBU software, we have to install the GA version (7.6.0.1 in this case), then patch it to the required Maintenance Release level.

Understand that this is a virtual appliance, and might be different.
Based on the "Upgrading the NetBackup plug-in for vCenter" section of the vCenter_Plug-in Guide

Upgrading the NetBackup plug-in for vCenter

Step 1 - Review the requirements for the plug-in.
Step 2 - Unregister the existing plug-in.
Step 3 - Uninstall the existing virtual appliance and plug-in.
Step 4 - Install the latest version of the virtual appliance and plug-in.

Does this mean that if I want to install 7.6.0.3 vCenter_Plug-in, I should go ahead directly with deploying the OVA from 7.6.0.3 ?

The OVA does not contain any data so it OK to deploy directly.

PS: You may need to exchange private again if you do restore directly from Vcenter.
