is there any way to let a non-root user can execute Netbackup commands under the UNIX in Netbackup 6.5?

Dear Netbackup buddies

I wanted to know is there any way to let a non-root user can execute Netbackup commands under the UNIX in Netbackup 6.5?   Thanks a lot

I would say "no" - the following T/N states:

"...
Running commands in the Netbackup environment as a non-root user has been completely removed as a non-root administrator could potentially exploit these binaries to gain access to the computer system in which NetBackup is installed.
..."

Cannot run the available_media script as a non-root user.

Using sudo you should be able to give users access to specific commands without giving them full root access

I believe Netbackup Access Control can do the job. But it not a walk  in the park to implement it.
