hello friends..
i use netbackup 7.7.2 and recently install vmbackup..
when i create vmware policy it let me choose snapshot.
so, if i loos my vm host at vcenter, is this snapshot usefull and can i use it to restore my OS again?
or this snapshot is usefull when i have a healthy OS? is snapshot means take iso image or something like that?
thanks for your guide..

NBU uses that snapshot only for backup of vm. After backup vCenter deletes it.

VMware snapshot has nothing to do with ISO image.
Please see this VMware article for better understanding of VMware snapshots with backups:
NBU will instruct VMware to delete the snapshot after successful backup.
You need to use the successful backup to restore from, not the snapshot.
Please take your time and read through the NetBackup 7.7.2 for VMware Administrator's Guide to understand how NBU for VMware backup and restore works.

You cannot backup ESX or VCenter hosts.
NBU for VMware is for backing up VMs only.
Once again:
Please take your time and read through the NetBackup 7.7.2 for VMware Administrator's Guide to understand how NBU for VMware backup and restore works.
