hey , I came across an issue about backup network drive.
Master: NBU7.5.0.6 running on linux
media server: NBU7.5.0.6 running on linux
client: a Windows2012 box running NBU client service, we have a network path \\dsfiler04\usr7 , this is actually a CIFS share from netapp storage.....
the window2012 box can access this path sucessfully......
the NBU client services are running with "local system" account.
but due to some reason we need to backup this directory from the windows box side instead of storage(NDMP).
the following is how I tried but failed.
backup policy:test_UNC
I select "backup network drive" option, backup selection is \\dsfiler04\usr7 , and then I perform a manual backup but always ended with "71" status code indicating "1: (71) none of the files in the file list exist " ..........
so anybody can point me the right direction?

Netbackup services should run with the accout that has the read access on the share not with the local accout..
follow the below T/N to get this done
