Hello everyone, I have a virtual machine with 6 disks that total 4TB, is it possible or recommendable to do VMware backup? there is enough space (15tb +) in the datastore. My question is if removing this snapshot will affect the performance of the other ESXI server machines. I want to do it this way because if I do not have to use capacity license and it would consume a lot of space at one time ... I have a license (by soquet) for all ESXI Server.
Thank you for your answers :)

That is the maximum VMDK size, you can definetly snapshot a 4TB VM that has 6 VMDK's.

After reading a lot, the official documentation of vsphere 6.5 tells me that a limitation of VMware is the maximum file size of 2TB, which would make it impossible (as I understand) to make snapshots to a 4 tb machine ... what I have left is to use a storage license. . If someone has another opinion / experience, I would appreciate it very much.
