long media pool

I guys,
Someone know how long for I can use my pool media (SDLT2)?
How often I must change my pool media?
I believe that can use my media pool until my backup don't give error...
but there is method more theory...

Hello Mark,
Yes, I usually use a tape until I get an error.
Shelf life is 30 years and it is good for 1 million passses.
