hi
i have a strange problem,make_scsi_dev just hangs wenn it is executed. It does nothing and does not give back to the calling script so the complette init startup hangs. I am able to set the needed symlinks manualy and i replaced the the Var with the path to make_scsi_dev with the path to my shellscript, that works well, but why the hell does make_scsi_dev not work on my system?
Iam running RHEL 4 AS on a dell poweredge 6650, i have a dell powervault 136 connected to a pci scsi controler in my server.
Any clues why it does not work using make_scsi_dev?
Edit: Iam using Netbackup 5.0
