master server issues

dear all

        Recently i found that there are so many process named nbtelesched residing on NBU master server , does it matter and what exactly is it?

Hi John The technology of Telemetry provides automatic recording and transmission of data from a remote source to a receiving station for analysis. You can check the bp.conf,it will contain TELEMETRY_UPLOAD option.It was set when you install netbackup. you can safe disable it. [root@redhatovocs netbackup]# cat bp.conf TELEMETRY_UPLOAD = YES

Perhps the telemetry gathering is stuck...to debug you could try using truss, ptree and so forth. Or you could kill them and disable telemetry.
