moved to upgraded servers and ran the catalog restore. now I have issues with My tape libraries.

I am currently running 8.0. I finally got a couple of newer servers and was moving from 2008 to 2016 so that I could start upgrading the software. I made sure all my storage was connected and the media server saw the medium changers and tape drives. The restore finished but my tape libraries are not showing up. How do I get them back?

Hi @smwoodcrafts

The best option is to simply recreate ethe devices using the wizard.

It may be prudent to run the "nbemmcmd -deletealldevices -allrecords" first to remove any references in EMM to the old devices (note it will only delete tape devices).

Hi @smwoodcrafts

One additional question - does the NetBackup scan (<INSTALLPATH>\volmgr\bin\scan.exe) command also show the devices? Run from an elevated command prompt to ensure NetBackup can see the devices that the OS sees.

Thanks guys, It's been sorted. I talked to an engineer and he got it back up.

I also had a similar experience.
After restoring the catalog, the existing master server was recognized normally when it was recognized again after power off.
