Have you checked your current logging level for EMM?

For starters, those are not strictly emm logs - they are OID 143 which does log into EMM, which is the MDS log.

vxlogview -p 51216 -o 143 -s DebugLevel=1 -s DiagnosticLevel=1 will turn them down.

Hi,

See example below to check the EMM logging settings. You'll see that my diagnosticlevel was high (6). I lowered it to 1 using the command shown.

C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin>vxlogcfg -l -p 51216 -o 111
Configuration settings for originator 111, of product 51,216...

C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin>vxlogcfg -a -p 51216 -o 111 -s DiagnosticLevel=1

Good post Riaan ...

Another way is simply to look in .../netbackup/nblog.conf file, but be very careful not to edit this file)

If an 'OID'  has log values, these are the settings:

# 111. Enterprise Media Manager
111.L10nResource=nbemm
111.OIDNames=nbemm
111.LogDirectory=nbemm
111.DebugLevel=6    <<<<<<<
111.DiagnosticLevel=6  <<<<<<<<
111.AppMsgLogging=ON

If it has no values, it is at default:

# 121. BMR Save Configuration
121.L10nResource=bmrsavecfg
121.OIDNames=bmrsavecfg
121.LogDirectory=bmrsavecfg

Default leveal are

Diag 6 / Debug 1  - on non Appliance NBU servers

Diag 6 / Debug 6 - on NBU appliances

Default levels can be changed and can be seen at the top of the nblog.conf file

Default.DiagnosticLevel=6
Default.DebugLevel=1

I try to not encourage people to mess around in config files like I do :p
