netbackup and mtx on same server

hi all!

i have already worked fine mtx . After that i install netbackup 6.5.
now when i execute /usr/local/sbin/mtx -f /dev/scsi/changer/c4t0d0 status
no Data Transfer Element reported

i reinstall mtx package but its not help me.
must I remove the mtx package before Netbackup installation ?
Is it possible to use both mtx and Netbackup software on the same server ?

Yep, both can be used, mtx and netbackup are completely separate.

I have both installed on my Solaris server - no issues.  Have also done the same on Linux in the past.

I had NBU installed before I installed MTX, but I'm fairly sure that I reinstalled NBU at some point after this (it was on a test server).  Can't see how NBU could affect mtx, it doesn't touch the files that mtx uses.
