Hello,

your question is confusing. When you are talking about UNIX server, you mean:

- a server from which you run bplist for some other server

- a server for which you want to browse its backups and restore its files? IMO UNIX servers are not supported in VMware

Describe exactly what you need/what you do and which error message is returned

Regards

Michal

@lanselot

File-level restore from VMware backup is only supported for certain OS's and filesystems.

See table 'Table 12 VMware guest operating systems supported for file-level recovery' in Statement of Support for NetBackup 7.x and 8.x in a Virtual Environment: https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/doc/NB_70_80_VE

Hello,

As Marianne said, "File-level restore from VMware backup is only supported for certain OS's and filesystems"

SO if your linux Os is not supported for file level recovery, you will not be able to restore invidiual items, however if it is supported, then you have to take another look on your policie's configuration.

Good luck,

PS: If the Os is not supported, please mark Marianne's post as a solution.
