netbackup staging from tape to disk

Hello ,

currently i am working with customer having 2 backup solution . one is taking backup on tapes and other one on disk . they are looking for a way to have at certain point all backup taken on the 1st solution on tape being moved to the disk on the 2nd solution . is staging is supporting tape to disk ?

When you say "2 backup solution" do you mean NetBackup and something else like TSM, Backup Exec, Avamar, etc.?

Please clarify '2 backup solutions '. Industry standard is to backup to disk and duplicate to tape (within same backup solution ). It is possible to duplicate NBU tapes to NBU disk storage units, but we need a better understanding of the customer requirements.

Curious to know more about the '2 backup solutions'?

You can update SLP to make multiple copies of any new backups run, but once the backup is run, you can only duplicate the images to another storage.
