netbackup version error for SQL Server 2008

I am getting the following error while connecting the netbackup sql client "The version of Microsoft SQL Server for machinename/instancename is not recognized. Select the different sql host ad instance or press cancel to close the Microsoft SQL Server graphical user Interface"

 

I am using netbackup version 6.5.3 on Windows 2008 enterprise and SQL Server 2008 enterprise.

 

any help is appreciated

I have seen the same error and it was because I had not started the netbackup SQL gui with Windows 2008's "run as administrator".
