Hello

I`m having a problem because when I ran the policy, this shows me the following error

released channel: ch00
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-03009: failure of backup command on ch00 channel at 08/17/2010 11:27:31
ORA-19506: failed to create sequential file, name="bk_2_1_727270026", parms=""
ORA-27028: skgfqcre: sbtbackup returned error
ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text:
   VxBSACreateObject: Failed with error:
   Server Status:  the specified client does not exist in the specified policy

Could someone tell me what can be causing this?

Thanks

Double check the script to see if policy name is hard-coded with NB_ORA_POLICY variable, then check policy.

If you have set up name resolution forward and backward, check what are you sending in NB_ORA_SERVER and NB_ORA_CLIENT parameters of the RMAN script.

In case of cluster configuration or multihomed server you should define hostname to use for backup explicitely in the script, NBU is not able to guess it for you.
