Wondering if anyone has a solution to this problem.

This is a relativly new enviroment with a VM policy and SAN transport.

Seems to be happening mostly on monthly fulls aposed to daily incrimentals.

Is media server also the backup host?

You will need logs to see what happened between these 2 timestamps as backup was actually completed at the time of the 1st entry over here:

05/08/2016 04:54:28 - Info bpbkar (pid=47854) bpbkar waited 82 times for empty buffer, delayed 3354 times
05/08/2016 05:02:51 - Error bptm (pid=47856) get_string() failed, Broken pipe (32), premature end of file encountered

Logs needed (preferrably level 3):

backup host: bpbkar

media server: bptm and bptm

Have a look at this TN: http://www.veritas.com/docs/000100458

Performance issues have been observed on some Linux servers (including NetBackup Appliances) acting as VMware backup hosts when Accelerator is enabled on VMware backups.

Error Message

Intermittent failures with Status Code 42 (network read failed) reported have been seen.

Hi Marianne,

Thanks for responding, im unable to upload these due to the sensetivity of my employer as it is roughly 1000 lines littered with server names/addresses.

Are you looking for a particular entry in these that i can relay back to you?
