one of the unix client full backup fails with error code 24. The backup fails only over weekend, that too alternate weekends, incremental backup is always successful without any issue. Please provide a solution for this.

Plese tell us the actual OS and OS version on the Unix client.
OS on Master and media server.

NBU version on Master, media server and client.

Copy all text in Activity Monitor Details tab and post here.

Anything special happening on alternate weekends...I mean on the Networks.

EC 24 is the results of busy,poor,interrupted networks....

Please post bpbrm logs on media server and bpbkar logs on client server.

Forget investigating NetBackup, go and talk to your Network team.

I have never ever seen a status 24 caused by NetBackup, I'm not saying it can't happen, but it's super rare ...  and as such I wouldn't even consider looking at NBU until all otyher possibilities have been resolved.

If the issue is intermittant (only weekends) then that is almost certainly caised by a busy network, or something happeningon the network that only happens at weekends.
