Hello,
for connection failure situation, you should running bptestbpcd from media and master. Ofcourse use bpclntcmd to verify name resolution, bptestbpcd will help you find out what is the problem.
also try running telnet from client to Master on port 13720 (bprd). All DB backups connects to master on this port along with pbx, vnetd and bpcd.
also check output for bpclntcmd -pn -verbose from client.

The log are located in the following directories:

Along with the other good recommendations in this thread, I'd also take a look at the bphdb and dbclient logs on the client.
If bptestbpcd -<client> -verbose -debug does not report any connectivity issues, you may want to have your DBA take a look at any RMAN errors they see.

yes, bptestbpcd and bpclntcmd -pn is working fine. but DB backups are failing with socket issue.
even verified certificates, ports, bphdb . nothing is captured. but when i see bprd log, it recorded as invalid client name.
what is that mean, please can anyone shed some light on this.
however clinet entries and server entries are added in client and master/media server
