The error message tells you exactly what is wrong:
You cannot use the backup directive for Database Availability Groups for an Exchange Standalone backup
As per previous posts - if you have a Standalone Exchange Server, the Backup Selection must be:
Microsoft Information Store:\
Please take your time and go through the manual and videos.....

Upgrade your Client to 7.5.
Exchange 2010 is only supported as from NBU 7.0 plus NBU 6.5 has reached EOSL on 3 October 2012.

If you want to back up all Exchange databases on a standalone server, you can use the "Microsoft Information Store:\" directive. If you're backing up databases in a DAG, you can simply use the "Microsoft Exchange Database Availability Groups:\" directive and NetBackup will determine which servers to use in the DAG depending on how you configure the Microsoft Exchange attributes in the policy.
With either of the above, you can enable "Allow multiple data streams" in the policy if you want the backups to be broken down into different streams for each database, or you could use the NEW_STREAM directive to customise how this is done - otherwise they will all be backed up together.
As far as I know, you would need a seperate MS-Windows policy for backing up other data on the server.

I agree with Shaun about the Exchange policy.
Please bear in mind that mailboxes can no longer be backed up separately with Exchange 2010.
You need to configure GRT backup in order to enable individual mailbox/item restore.
You may want to read through NBU for Exchange manual for detailed info.
For the MS-Windows policy, put ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES in backup selection.
Create Exclude List to exclude location of Exchange databases from the filesystem backup.

Thank you marianne for your help.
Tha network error was gone after installing the netbackup client 7.5.
My major issue is the backup selection now.
Can you please provide me with a short step wise procedure to configure GRT.
my server is on citrix xen server, therefore extend your help regarding the backup selection. Am selecting all the specified solutions but am getting this error:

See Shaun Taylor's post:

Your policy type must be MS-Exchange.
Please show us your policy config. From cmd on Master:
bppllist MSExch_Full_Tape -L
Maybe best if you read through the NBU for Exchange manual (link in my previous post).
You will see that GRT needs Disk storage unit and that you need to install and config NFS on the media server and client.
Also see this HOWTO video:

Policy Type: MS-Windows (13)
Include: ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES
This is not how you config a policy for Exchange. Policy type needs to be MS-Exchange with snapshot option selected and you need to specify valid Exchange directive in Backup Selection. Plus, for GRT the Storage Unit needs to be disk.
Please read through previous posts, read the NBU for Exchange manual, go through the video. Links in previous posts.

sorry, the output sent was for another policy, in the meantime i created another policy and took the whole backup of the system using this policy.
Find the outpout of the policy which we are working on:
