Hi

I m using netbackup 8.1.1 and i m backup up some vmware virtuel server.

The virtual server is running centos6.8 with only ext4 file system.

But when i mtrying to restore a file i only get a very old version of the file.

The file is changing evry day but i got always the very old file when i changing the restore date window.

There s a stange thing i see too

the file is listed twice in the bpflist command

bpflist -ut 1549412883 -client ares.genoscope.cns.fr -rl 999 -backupid ares.genoscope.cns.fr_1549412883 -option GET_ALL_FILES | egrep discala.seen
6775 40828 33 58 8007 1 0 0 -21701109 /var/lib/imap/user/d/discala.seen 33152 uid-76 gid-12 40828 1485848546 1485813029 1485813029
124161 17084 33 58 164844 1 0 0 448652634 /var/lib/imap/user/d/discala.seen 33152 uid-76 gid-12 17084 1549379533 1549392414 154939241

and when i restore i got always the old file but can't access to the newer

-You have agent installed on the client?

- When you restore you have ticketed the option to overwrite the destination file?

-You have tried to restore in an alternative route?

@grocanar

Are you perhaps doing 2 sets of backups?
Standard and VMware?

I noticed that you did not specify policy type in your bpflist command.
As far as I know the default policy type for most image-related commands is Standard.

i have found the issue

i had two version on the file

one on the / partition ( the older one )

one of the /var/lib/imap partition.

I just wipe the old version
