problem with Samba mounts on Linux servers

I am running Netbackup with a Windows 2003 server as my master and media server. I have several Linux machines on the network that I also backup.

A couple of the Linux machines have mounted Samba shares. All are located in /mnt/. Unfortunately, Netbackup is also trying to backup these shares, even though they are actually located on a different machine.

How do I fix this problem? Thank you.

Have you selected to backup network drives on the policy attributes? cross mount points?Message was edited by:

I have NOT selected either of those options.

I wonder at this problem. If Cross Mount Points is not checked, files under /mnt mount point are not backed up although file list contains root file system.
What entries are written in your file list?

Workaround is adding /mnt in exclude list. For detail, see Administrator's Guide for UNIX, page 139.

I have now found two ways. You can make a file called exclude_list. Or you can simply add exclude list entries to the file.
