reimport of images after changing storage unit

Hello. I currently have backups going to an equal logic SAN, and this drive needs to be repurposed. My question is - can I copy the images off of this drive (basically copying the exact directory structure) to a flash drive, then reimport from there?

My san - n:\dedupe

Basically dragging / dropping the dedupe directory from the top and putting on usb, then doing a phase 1 / phase 2 import?

Best to add a new STU, then use NBU to duplicate images from STU1 to STU2.

You can then use the Catalog GUI to expire copy 1 of the backups on the N-drive.

If this is the only copy for these backup images stored there - listen to Marianne and perform duplication.

If you already have a secondary copy on tape, I would have expire the images lying down on SAN disks (copy 1) and once done change SLP to point to new STU, delete the old STU and return those disks to the next puprose...
