Hi Martin,marianne.Mark solutions,
Do Resource deallocation is also an issue in Netbackup?
After backup completion, resources may not be released by EMM.Is this possible?

This is an open forum so you do not need to address your posts to just the three of us - if you need someone in particular to support you then it would be best to take out a professional services support contract with a company to answer your questions.
In answer to your question ... YES anything is possible ... that is why the nbrbutil commands exist to release such "stuck" resources.
I guess you will next ask why ... that is down to many factors .. process crashes, network glitches, reboots, service restarts etc.
Hope this answers it for you

Best example...go for the robtest....sometimes tape is mounted in the drive but when
you put nbrbutil for it....you can not see the allocation key for that....
Its stuck tape...there might be sevral factors affecting the deallocation...
process communication gaps (nbrb, nbemm and bpbrm to be specific), orphned process etc...etc..
But how the question came to your mind...any real time experience?
Thanks.
