restore without BMR

I have a Windows 2008 R2 server that needs the whole C: drive restored. The problem is it does not have a BMR backup. Which guide has the directions on how to do a legacy restore?

Not sure there is one but you may try installing the OS on another disk, if the server has two drives, and booting the OS from there and installing NetBackup on that disk drive.  Then you might be able to restore the whole C drive from backup before rebooting.  Windows is not like the pre-BMR restores I did on Unix so this is just a guess as to how it would work.

Another way may be to put the C drive in another machine with NetBackup and do restore from failed machine to the one with the drive in it but having specified to restore to the moved drives letter on the surrogate host.

When I did this in DR for Unix we would load the OS and NetBackup to restore everythign over top of the running OS expcept for a specific set of very critical files related to the hardware setup on the replacement host.
