return code for dbbackex (NBU 7.0.1)

Hi folks,

I am performing a netbackup 7.0.1 proof of concept to displace TSM.

Now we are testing nbu for MSSQL and the customer wants to start the backups using the command line and dbbackex to start the backups with an external scheduler in the future.

The customer need a return code of the dbbackex command to see if the job was successful or not. Is it possible to get an return code of running dbbackex?

Thanks in advance

Angelika

It seems that %ERRORLEVEL% variable is always set to 0 upon exit of dbbackex, regardless if it is fed valid or invalid input. From this, I guess it would not be possible to use the dbbackex command for error verification.

That ist exactly, what I sadly suspected.

So, there is no way to check the status on the client, expect the bar gui, for sure! And there is still the master server and opscenter.

Thanks
