I've an issue with my backup job of Sharepoint farm. I followed the documentation but i think i've lost something

My job is faulted with error 1.

The account used for backup is declared on Netbackup (java console) . The account is also admintrator of each servers, SQL.

I've changed the account use for thoses services: Netbackup Legacy Client Service and Netbackup Legacy Network Service

Someone have an idea?

Hello,

not NetBackup Legacy Client, but NetBackup Client must be configured to run under the Domain Account.

Run NetBackup Client Service as your NetBackup account.

I'm not a SharePoint expert. You may need to also specify the account in the client host properties for the SQL server client.

@Ewe

You did not mention which SharePoint version and which documentation you followed.

According to this doc: https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/article.100038020
the steps and Service account is different for certain SharePoint versions, e.g.
For SharePoint 2013 and earlier, the NetBackup Client Service and NetBackup Legacy Network Service and must log on with an account that has local administrator and SharePoint farm administrator privileges.
For SharePoint 2016, the services must log on with the Local System account.

... it's my fault ... Smiley Frustrated

I didn't read correctly the documentation. I forget to change value on this service "NetBackup Client service"

My sharepoint environement is 2010.

So now I need to identify this message:

Begin writing

Unable to obtain image list. Confirm this client has access to images on server 'vmbkp01.XXXXX' for client 'vmopd01.backup.ec.sogeti'
Refer to the 'Configuring restores for multiple SharePoint Server hosts' section of the SharePoint Administrators Guide for more information

Have you done this?

Online version of 8.0 manual:

https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/doc/123933398-123933406-0/id-SF931161201-123933406

I notice that this 'mapping' is also documented in article 100038020.
Maybe you should carefully go through the entire doc?

Same issue.

Do I need a restart the services?

@Ewe

Seems you are missing something - the hostnames in your screenshot are not the same as reported in the job details:
Confirm this client has access to images on server 'vmbkp01.XXXXX' for client 'vmopd01.backup.ec.sogeti'

Have you gone through article 100038020 from top to bottom?

I do not have any database or application expertise, I just work with the application and/or db admins, use the given documentation and follow the steps exactly. There are certain steps that only they can perform (such as local security priveleges).
99.9% of the time, everything works when we follow the docs.

If there are still issues, then you have grounds to log a call with Veritas Support.
They will need the 'beds' logs mentioned in the doc.
