spad and spoold large data stream - no jobs running

After running cross site SLP optimised duplication jobs there is still a large data stream between the remote and central site between spad and spoold even though all jobs have completed. 

Anyone know what would be causing this this?

Just in case anyone comes across this problem.....

Setting the KeepAliveTime registry setting (Windows Server) to less than 2 hours (default) solved the problem.  We made sure it was less than the TCP connection timeout on our firewall.
