Can we stop/start spoold & spad separately in unix media server hosting dedup pool ?

if yes, what would be impact and how to achieve it.

P.S: except usng kill command and starting as /ur/openv/pdde/pdcr/bin/spad --spool

What would be the reason for wanting to stop/start dedupe processes without restarting rest of NBU processes?
