What exactly is the difference between hot and cold catalog backup?
09-01-2012 11:59 PM
NetBackup 7 no longer supports Cold Catalog Backup.
Cold Catalog Backup could only run when no other backups were running and EMM database was shutdown for duration of the backup. Entire catalog had to fit onto one tape. Tape was overwritten every time.
