Hi Team,

My SQL Backup getting failed with error code : the backup failed to back up the requested files (6), some child backup getting success but some getting failed with above error.

Master Server Name:- pbad-netbackup.pbad.sbg.com.sa

Netbackup Version: 7.6.1.1

Operating System:- Windows 2008 R2 64 Bit

Client Name : pbad-spointsql.pbad.sbg.com.sa

Client Version: 7.6.1.1

Client Opertating System:Windows 2008 R2 64 Bit (Virtual Server)

Is there a reason for still running 7.6.x.x - And not upgrade?

@Evenas we are not upgrade becoz of our license expired.

Please send us dbclient / bphdb logs from directory below.

<install path>/Program Files/Veritas/NetBackup/logs

Please provide backup selection list details - along with the script body itself...

If this is NBU initiated backup... if not script you are using to backup it...

connectivity with bpcltncmd was tested?

you also need to have a check from the sql side. most of the time the problem comes from client side.

Hey Can you get the below information

--get the job details from SQL console as 6 is generic error message and it won't give us any clear idea

--as it is hitting the master server it won't be having the communication we have to look at bphdb,dbclient

--Also another thing is is file list was successfully generated ? get the bch file that is used for the backup as well
