to move Backup catlogs to netbackup 5.0

Hi,
resently i have insalled veritas netbackup server 5.0 on existing backup Exec server (windows 2003)(now we stoped working on Backup Exec.

now i want to covert/move backupExec catlogs to netbackup
how can i do it, is it possible to do it r not? if so, how?

Can anybody hlp me out reg. this issue.

There is no direct way to merge the catalogs. Each tape will need to go through an import process to gather the information and placing it into the Netbackup catalog.

Conversion of Backup Exec on-disk catalogs and Advanced Device and Media Management (ADAMM) databases to NetBackup Media Manager volume records and image and .f files is not supported. Backup Exec media will have to be imported using bpimport before it can be used with NetBackup 5.0. Refer to the NetBackup System Administrator's Guide, Volume I for more details.Message was edited by:

The Backup Exec Tape Reader Option is no longer supported in NetBackup 5.0.
