I have nothing to contribute to the above question as I was just coming to this board to post a similar one.
I to want to eject media from my library. I already have a script that identifies tapes that are full and I want to remove them and have them placed onsite.
My question which is almost exactly like the above, does anyone have any eject script they want to share ? I would only anticipate having to eject 10 to 20 media at any given time. Last I checked we were only filling between 10 and 20 daily.
Thanks for this tidbit. I cannot believe I haven't found it anywhere else. Does anyone know if there is a bug filed against this behavior. The message should clearly state to empty the media access ports then hit return. Am I the only one who has ever been confused by this lame message? Oh, well, live and learn I guess. I can say that now that I have gotten the thing to work, but I must say when I first read Bob's response I has ready to snap off some heads.
