Hello!
While starting NBU services on HP-UX (media server) machine I am facing following error message.
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/nbdbms_start_stop[15]: /usr/openv/db/vxdbms_env.sh: not found.NetBackup will not run without /usr/openv/db/bin/NB_dbsrv running
How to fix this ?? please help me.
I have installed NBU 8.0 as media server on HP-UX machine.

NBDB should not be running on a media server ....
What is the name of the media server.
What is the name of the master server
Please copy /paste the contents of /usr/openv/netbackup/bp.conf from the media server

I am using following commands to start and stop NBU on media server:
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/goodies/netbackup stop
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/goodies/netbackup start

bp.conf file of media server contailns following:
# cat bp.conf
SERVER = < my master server name>
SERVER = <my media server name>
CLIENT_NAME = <my media server name>
CONNECT_OPTIONS = localhost 1 0 2
CRYPT_KIND = STANDARD
EMMSERVER = <my master server name>

That does look correct .... odd
Try starting / stopping NBU with
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bp.start_all
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bp.stop_all
... do you get the same issue ?

Yes, I am getting the same issue even after reinstalling the NBU 8.0,
( but NBU is working fine as it is my media server )
#/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bp.stop_all
sh: /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bp.stop_all: not found.
# /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bp.start_all

Will it affect in future ?

No, it will have no affect.
I've not looked for that specifically on an 8.0 media server. I'm wondering if it's slightly poor script that just tries to start NBDB no matter if it's a media server or not.
