vault schedule not running

master server : version 7.5.0.7  OS AIX

I had a old vault policy for ejectig tapes which should eject tapes alternate days as per schedule set in policy but was ejecting tapes daily. so i deleted old policy and created new policy as per my requirement but its not kicking off as per schedule, even not kicking off at all. but when i run it manuaaly it run.

The old policy which i have deleted is running daily. its so strange. i have checked and there is no cron job set for this.for testing it, I have created one test policy with policy type 'standard' and schedule it and it was run as per schedule.

Please show us your vault policy:
bppllist (policy-name) -U
and tell us when last did you run it manually.

I have never heard of a policy that keeps on running after it was deleted...

If it's really still runnning, try deleting the pempersist2 file.

Stop NBU, and the delete /usr/open/netbackup/db/jobs/pempersist2

Restart NBU

This issue seems resolved now. The new vault policy which i created did run now and the old one didn't ran. it is strange although , that the old vault was ran for the 3 days even after we deleted it.
