We are on NBU8.2 on Linux with Veritas traditional license model. we are use advanced disk and pure disk pools for data staging. i know we will need DDPO license for pure disk. how about advanced disk? are we still have to pay TB based license for advanced disk for virtual tape library and advanced disk pools?

i know we do have OpenDedup and window native deduplication available now, if we configure advanced disk pools on these disks, what other license will we have to purchase? we are not using Open Storage Option and Accelerator on these disk pools.

thanks in advanced.

HI @FlyMountain

To enable and use any Advanced Disk you require a DPOO license (which is based on the TB being protected).

Using any deduplication technology to store backups (even if not managed by NetBackup), requires a DPOO license (so for instance if you added a Data Domain as a basic disk storage target, this still technically requires the DPOO license).
