what to do about non-Vaulted images?

We had some scheduled maintenance on our DataDomain over the weekend, and as a result some duplication jobs from the DD to tape failed.  Now I am seeing some non-Vaulted images in the reports.

What, if anything, needs to be done about non-Vaulted images?  Do I just need to let the SLP backlog catch up, or is there some action I need to take to resolve these?

Do you mean to say you are vaulting (duplicating) images to Tape using SLP??

If that's the case, then you don't have to worry about images that are not duplicated yet, SLP will duplicate pending images to tapes.

You can list or monitor the pending images using nbstlutil command options.

Correct, we use SLPs to duplicate to tape.  I do monitor the SLP backlog continuosly throughout the day.  And our on-site retentions are now mostly the same on the DataDomain as they are for off-site tape, so I'm not worried about anything expiring before duplication completes as long as there isn't anything I needed to do to make sure that happens.  I've just never had a non-Vaulted image and wasn't sure if there was something I needed to do.

Thanks!
