Did you mean:

when does it take effect if I change some option of the policy.

I change a backup selection item in the backup policy, and apply the change.
But the backup job still backup the previous 'backup selection item'.  It seems the change does not take effect.

If I restart the NetBackup service, it works for the new 'backup selection item'.

So, I am a littile confused when does it take effect if I change some option of the policy.

My NBU version is 7.0.

Tanks.

I have personally battled with this last week (using NBU 7.5.0.4 on W2008 R2)...
Issued nbpemreq -updatepolicies, followed by nbpemreq -predict_all ....
No output.

Done this about 3 times. No output.
I eventually closed the GUI, stopped and restarted NBU, only then did
nbpemreq -predict_all .... produce the desired output.
I guess I could have waited out the 10 minutes, but I had to be sure that backup would start within 15 minutes.

Hopefully every one else has more luck with 'nbpemreq -updatepolicies'.

Yes. I got the same situcation with Marianne.

Issued nbpemreq -updatepolicies, followed by nbpemreq -predict_all ....
No output.

And where can i find "Policy Update Interval" parameter or how can i change the default time ?
