Please read your manuals NIKHIL. I promise - this is very clearly explained in Admin Guide I.

By the way - if you click on the Troubleshooter button in Activity Monitor, you would also find the exact reason for your Status 213.
Extract:

* Determine if all storage units are set to On demand only for a combined policy and schedule that does not require a specific storage unit. In this case, either specify a storage unit for the policy and the schedule combination or turn off  On demand only for a storage unit.

I believe your problem has been solved?
Glad I could help you with a REAL error for a change....

Showing us successful connection in bpcd log file does not help.

Please copy all text in Job Details and post here.

Other info needed:

Policy config:
bppllist <policy-name> -U

Storage Unit config:
bpstulist -U

(Commands are in <install-path>\veritas\netbackup\bin\admincmd)

Status 213 says 'no storage units available for use'.

Perhaps policy calls for 'Any Available' Storage Unit but STU is configured as 'On demand only'?

Backup started now successfully.

Policy was configured for Any Available' Storage Unit.

I changed it to use my defined storage unit.

What basically is difference between Any Available' Storage Unit. and on demand?
