Welcome to the third and final sneak preview of the new NetBackup web UI. We streamlined our UI to be easy for any IT administrator to use, including backup admins, storage admins, VM admins or DBAs.
This final sneak preview will show you how a VMware administrator can protect their virtual machines in just a few steps by using pre-configured settings to easily back up their own data. Once a VM admin is empowered to protect their own data, that data can be restored faster and without calling the service desk.
The new NetBackup UI also makes it simple for a VM admin to select the plan that will achieve their recovery and data retention objectives. Increased visibility into existing users and plans means VM admins and backup admins can easily work together to ensure coverage.
NetBackup 8.1.2 will be globally available September 17th, 2018, but for now take a look at how this new capability will work.
