Last month we did an upgrade of opscenter to Verion 7.7.3 and now after this upgrade we have a small problem.
Apprrently the data collection features for al our configured master sever is daily disabled at +- 1h20 AM
And the only things that is not collected are .... "the clients list" per Master server" so searching a client is not possible (+-8000 clients on 6 Master Servers)
A manual enable is then needed -> settings ->netbackup +select Master server + enable data collection tab
but this is working and not working.
I try to find what is happening at +- 1h AM but ... I have no clue what to check
- checkt the log files in \Apps\Symantec\OpsCenter\
- check possible 'CHANGED' config file after the upgrade -> sam as the last full bck
System is not rebooted after the upgrade , and nothing is done on the master servers.
So ....

This sounds weird, does it mean you didn't have any data collection of all master servers since upgrade last month?? That's quite a long outage!
Usually after an upgrade, we always restart the services - I believe you had done that, correct? A system reboot is not required but if you running into low memory or system load issue, that could somehow help. Any reason that you cannot do that?
server.log should be able to tell you if the database is running or not, and if there is any issue on memory cache usage. Check its last modified date/time.
Those log files may or may not be new, it all depends on their sizes. A new file is created once it exceeds the default file size (usually 51MB).

Data collection is working again an permantly ENABLED ( no clue why).
The only thing is that is not working ( or updated ) is the client list via the TAB Monitor-Hosts-Clients. The list is empty and I cannot search for any client via the GUI. And strange ...making reports, with any hosts queries, is working fine.
I'm going to make a ticket because I have not one Troubelshooting document for this 'minor' , but enoying, problem.

PS Netbackup Services are restarted after the upgrade
