Duplicate client ip addresses cause VBR to merged client name ?

Details:
On netbackup master server we have: /etc/hosts

10.100.146.223   clientA
10.100.146.223   clientB

we then ran a backup on clientA and clientB and setup VBR on ViewBuilder and noticed that only ClientA with ip address 10.100.146.223 appeared in the Unassinged ojbect list.

We then corrected the /etc/hosts file as follow:

10.100.146.223     clientA
10.100.146.224     clientB

Then rerun a backup on clientA and ClientB......But noticed that clientB name still did not showed up on ViewBuilder.  So now everytime we run a backup on clientB, it somehow linked to clientA and showed up as clientA backup jobs on on VBR.

We have completed deleted clientA on ViewBuild and purged it out of the recycle then rerun a backup on clientB, it will showed up with clientA on ViewBuilder.

The only solution we found to get clientB to showed up in VBR is to renamee.g.

10.100.146.223     clientA
10.100.146.224     client 00B

Can check the Host Aliases table on VBR and found only ClientA, and it has no Aliases.

Can you please advise how I can checked the database to find if there an ojbect (clientA) is completely removed out of VBR ?

Is there a way to check if the an object has been merged ?

Is there a way to check if an object has two host names ?

Purging clientA ojbect from ViewBuilder and empty out the recycle bin does not seems to completely remove it out of VBR database.
It seems that the an ojbect name in VBR has both the clientA and clientB as linked to the same ip address.
