Help with a report

Hi All, I need to create a report to show that all jobs have gone to tape. Some of our jobs are backed up to disk first then duplicated off to tape where as other go straight to tape. I need to be able to show that all clients have been backed up to tape and show the media id. I have tried to edit a number of reports already on opsCenter and i have even spoken to Symantec support but I still can get this done! Can you please help. Thanks

Not sure

Hi Ed,
Not sure if this will helps, but I'll try.
In VBR (my OpsCenter is down) there's the ability is create a custom report where the Master, client name & media ID used can be displayed (over a period of time). The NBU policies you have writing directly to tape could be selected and the report would only reflect the backup data for those specific policies - giving you a report of the media ID's used.

I'm pretty sure OpsCenter has the same type of custom reporting ability. You may need to fish around, but what you're asking for sounds collectable.

Here is a report I made to

Here is a report I made to follow our duplications. It only show images that expire in the next 30 days and have not been duplicated. You will just need to add policy or schedule filters to only report on jobs you run to disk or VTL first.

datediff(dd,now(),backupimageexpirationtime) as 'Days Until Expired',
backuppolicyname as 'Policy',
backupimageuniqueid as 'Image',

sum (backupimagefragmentsize) as 'Image Size (kb)',
backupimageexpirationtime as 'Expiration Time'
